The exhibition in Schloss Schönau castle in Bad Säckingen is dedicated to a literary bestseller of the 19th century, which tells of the star-crossed romance between a commoner and an aristocrat.
The walls reveal the background and iconic history of the book by Joseph Victor von Scheffel through animation, texts and original exhibits within a venerable room-in-room concept.
In the midst of these darkened rooms there glows a rectangular monolith as an animated representation of the graves of the real-life couple and an illuminated copy of the book in peak condition.
