Following the success of the special exhibition planned and implemented by molitor “Ready? Go! The History of Sport and Technology” at the TECHNOSEUM in Mannheim and DASA Dortmund, it moved on to CoSA – Center of Science Activities in Graz. The exhibition opened in 2021 as part of the city’s year of sports, LET’S GO GRAZ 2021.
A total of six chapters offer various perspectives on the interrelationships between sport, culture and technology. Illustrated with the help of some 190 exhibits, the exhibition explores topics ranging from sports equipment and materials to performance measurement and the standardisation of competitions, as well as parasports and German worker’s sports.
Visitors can get involved with fun, hands-on experiences at the interactive stations, join in with the creative programme of events, try out digital fitness tools and learn about Styrian sporting innovations. This ensures the exhibition not only challenges the brain, but also gets the heart pumping – which is what the Graz year of sport is all about.
Experts from the Graz Children’s Museum FRida & freD developed seven fun and challenging interactive stations for this exhibition.
