The former airfield of Tempelhofer Feld in Berlin is a unique location – it even has a special law in place for its preservation. Not only does this public park provide space for all kinds of leisure activities, but it is also home to a special variety of flora and fauna that have long since disappeared elsewhere in the city. In April 2022, a new permanent exhibition about this opened at the Information Pavilion by the park’s Tempelhofer Damm entrance.

The exhibition provides an overview of the history of Tempelhofer Field, while also offering insight into the importance of the area for nature and recreation, as well as information on citizen-led initiatives. Visitors can listen to bird calls, find out about current recreational activities on the grounds, and find out how they can get involved themselves.
