“Green Belt” pavilion

The monument and memorial at the Eichsfeld Borderland Museum documents the history of the wall separating East and West Germany and its effects on people and nature in the borderland areas, which has now become a refuge for rare plants and animals.
molitor won the competition to plan the architecture and exhibition concept with its draft for the “Green Belt” pavilion.
Its landscaped garden roof integrates the pavilion seamlessly into the landscape. The exhibition space also obtains a direct link to nature, blending indoors with outdoors, thanks to its large panes of glass.
