Batteries for the Nazi military:
forced labour at Pertrix, 1939–1945
Date: 08/2015 – 01/2016
Location: Berlin-Schöneweide
Client: Stiftung Topographie des Terrors
During the Second World War, the company Pertrix manufactured dry-cell batteries and torches for the Nazi army and ignition batteries for the air force. The exhibition documents the fate of the forced labourers who had to assemble these products, which were vital to the war effort, under sometimes life-threatening conditions.
Working closely with the graphic designers responsible for direct digital printing and the metal workers in charge of manufacturing the steel frames, molitor is handling the production of the carpentry work and media engineering.
