Audio induction loop systems, or hearing loops, are part of the barrier-free infrastructure present in conference and meeting rooms, auditoriums, bank buildings, schools, churches and cinemas. They offer people with hearing impairments and wearers of hearing aids or cochlear implants an optimal hearing experience without distracting background noise. To achieve this, a loop cable and corresponding loop amplifier are connected to an audio source.
The inductive electromagnetic field that is generated can be received by hearing aids with a built-in telecoil (T-coil) or neck loop. The loop sign creates a hearing loop while also informing people of the presence of this system. The magnetic field generated by the sign is limited to a small area, making it suitable for use in places where discretion is important.
The sign can be freely positioned or permanently mounted to surfaces. We use the Pro Loop NX3 amplifier, which is designed for continuous use. The integrated switched-mode power supply and the Class-D amplifier design enable high efficiency with low waste heat, forming the basis for high reliability and operational safety. The amplifier’s automatic gain control (AGC) allows us to ensure a consistent level on the hearing loop, while the metal loss correct (MLC) setting can be used to correct the frequency response if necessary.
