Today, in the year 2021, Jews have been living on the land that constitutes present-day Germany for a verifiable 1,700 years. Led by the association “321-2021: 1,700 Years of Jewish Life in Germany”, numerous public figures and institutions have come together to commemorate this important milestone. As part of the anniversary year, the Berlin Police has launched the project “Jewish Life and the Police – Past Meets Present” (JLUP).
The aim of the project is to take a clear stance against anti-Semitic and anti-democratic views, to help make Jewish life more visible, and to encourage people to confront issues surrounding police ethics.
